I don't normally buy beauty and skincare products from TK Maxx, my usual options are high street stores like Boots and Super Drug. The other day I stumbled upon some interesting skincare products in TK Maxx and I have to say I have been a happy convert. Lots of the beauty brands they stock are small brands with a niche for organic products, the following three are some of my favourites.

How To Style Prom or Homecoming Dresses From Dress That
Don't we all have dreams of becoming a princess when we were little girls? Although dreams may not come true, going to proms or homecoming events may be the closest moment we feel like Cinderella. You don't have to folk out a small fortune to get your dream prom dress, some online boutiques such as DressHead.com, Dressthat.com, etc offer many styles of prom dresses for women at affordable prices. When the company of Dressthat.com contacted me to write about their homecoming dresses, I was more than delighted.

Pregnancy Update - 26 Weeks
You may already know from my previous post or if you follow me on Instagram, that I am pregnant! I am currently 26 weeks pregnant. I know I left it pretty late to do my first pregnancy update, but I didn't even tell my friends until after 3 months - just wanted to keep it private in the beginning.
Let's start from the beginning. I found out I was pregnant pretty early on, because my hubby and I have been trying for our first baby for some time. When I first did the pregnancy test and was anxiously waiting for that 3 minutes for the result to appear, I didn't expect too much knowing that it may not that easy to get pregnant. Then I saw the vertical line, not too strong but definitely there. I was so excited, nervous and most of all, happy!
My first trimester was bad. I pretty much felt ill, nauseated and tired throughout the whole three months. The moment I woke up, I would be overwhelmed by the smell that makes me sick - that hand wash, burnt toast, cooked food... I hardly could eat anything without feeling ill -anything cooked with oil, meat, fish, eggs, etc. I was surviving on fruit, cereal with soya milk on a daily basis. They were not exactly filling so I had to eat frequently. I would lay down on the sofa sleeping for most of the time during the day, and go to bed very early. I didn't know how long that was going to last, it was pretty hard time.
When I reached my second trimester, as I am now, things got a lot better. I gradually gained a lot more energy and my appetite has increased dramatically. I still haven't got any particular cravings, except for food in general. I eat more than my husband and always want food. Since the past few weeks, I can totally see my body getting rounder and my bump is showing pretty obviously. I try to stay healthy by eating the right food and doing some gentle workout - I go to the antenatal yoga class once a week, and do pregnancy workout at home everyday.
That is pretty much it! In general, I am feeling pretty great. Happy, content and enjoying my pregnancy. I am very grateful for the fact that my pregnancy so far has been pleasant and relatively easy - I know people who go through their entire pregnancy feeling ill and sick, I guess I have been lucky that things have dramatically improved since month 3.
My next update will be some time in my third trimester, which is a couple of weeks away, so I will chat to you all then.

3 New Look Non-maternity Dresses You Can Wear When Pregnant
It seems that summer has finally arrived in the UK this week! While I've been enjoying this nice hot weather, I have suddenly found myself run out of summer clothes to fit my pregnant body. As a first time Mummy-to-be, I am totally new to the maternity wear market. I have been searching the web for maternity clothes but find that sometimes I find the styles of maternity clothes quite limited. I discovered that New Look was having a summer sale with up to 60% off, I couldn't help but making a sneaky purchase.
I ordered quite a few items, among which are three of my favourites. They are not maternity dresses, but after trying them all, they all fit me perfectly. A good tip for buying non-maternity dresses when you are pregnant is to go for those with an empire waist line or drop waist line. Swing dresses are also a good choice as they are quite loose fitted. If you are choosing a body-con dress, make sure the material is elasticated enough to fit your bump.
Enough being said, let's check out what I bought.

A Good Read - #GIRLBOSS
Ordered this book on Amazon and it finally arrived on Friday. I am not a fast reader when it comes to reading books that are not in my first language, nor am I a big reader, not since leaving uni. This book, however, when first opened, I can hardly put it down. It fascinates me so much that I couldn't bare waiting to see what's next.
Sophia Amoruso is a name I have been familiar with, and Nasty Gal is a brand I have been following for years. Sophia wasn't born with a silver spoon in her mouth, and she was a lost and confused girl in her younger years. It was inspiring to follow her story and see how she managed to build a multi-million-dollar business empire from selling vintage clothes on eBay. I was like a sponge trying to soak up everything from her book and in a way, enchanted by her way of story telling. I felt as if she was sitting right here talking to me heart to heart.
I finished the book at midnight on the same day I got it - this has never happened to me before. Ever so often that a book is started and never finished reading. Highly recommend this book.

One Dress, Two Ways
I can't quite believe how long it's been since I last made a video or uploaded a post. Well, my last video was uploaded almost a year ago! A lot have changed during the past year and I have so many great news I can't wait to share with you. Before I make a dedicated post on catching up, I thought I'd drop in an outfit / style post first.
I have been contacted by a brand asking if I was interested in reviewing one of their dresses and I couldn't be more happy to take on the task. After browsing their hundreds of dresses, I finally chose this one as it is just perfect for the transitional season.
I styled it in two ways, one is with jeans for a casual daytime look, the other is simply wear it on its own with heels for an evening look. I hope you like how I styled it. You can also click the video below to watch it. Leave a comment to let me know.
