My New Year's Resolutions for 2015

It's January 1st, 2015. Can't believe how quick 2014 has gone. It was a special year for me, the year in which I became a wife. I feel such a grown up, a married woman. Still getting used to it. I feel so lucky to be married to the love of my life. 

I have also found a true passion, which is Youtube. I became more and more serious about this, not just a hobby, but a career, a goal and a dream. I have got 390 subscribers on Youtube, which is not a large number, but considering it's only been a couple of months since I spent some quality time on it, it's quite impressive for me. I love making videos, and I spent so much time watching Youtube videos. I'm totally sucked into it. It has become a very important part of my life. I feel somehow, Youtube has given me a direction in life when I felt lost for some time. 

I can't wait to build my channel bigger in 2015. I have written a similar post for 2014 and set myself some goals for each resolution, although I didn't meet all of the goals, but I believe you should always aim for the stars! So my new year's resolutions are as below. 

1. Build my Youtube channel more.
Treat it as a proper career, not just a hobby. Invest in more time and efforts into it. Plan the work, write it down, and just go for it. Play with your own strength and take advantage of it. Be yourself and not just following others. Be consistent with the uploading and scheduling. 

Goal: to reach 3,000 subscribers by the end of 2015.

2. Work out more.

Use Youtube to work out more, use Blogilates' playlist or calendar to work out. 

Goal: to work out 30 mins per day.

2. Dance more.

Go back to Salsa and dance more. This is a chance I give to myself to dance, as I wish I was taught ballet when i was a child. Never too late to start.

Goal: go to dance class at least once a week.

3. Pass driving test.

I am taking driving lessons, hopefully to pass it very soon. 

Goal: pass driving test this year as soon as possible.

4. Learn to swim.
As a very important life skill, I must learn to swim.

Goal: Sign up to the swimming lesson and learn to swim.

6. Read more books.

This resolution remains as I failed 2014 one. Since leaving uni, I rarely touched books, which is terrible! This year I'd like to read more books to get myself some spiritual nutrition.

Goal: read every day, even if it's just for 10 minutes. Finish at least 3 books this year.

7. Control my emotions better.

My emotions are affected quite easily by hormones, especially before and during my period, I tend to get very emotional which can be very bad for a relationship. I must try to see this more objectively, sometimes I feel horrible may simply be my hormones messing with me, not that the world is going against you. When you feel irritable, try to go to a separate room to cool your head down, it will help you see your problem better when you've got a clear head. However difficult you find yourself stepping away, you must try. 

8. Communicate more with my family.

I live in a different country than my families and sometimes I forget to call them more often. I need to make more efforts and pay more attention to them as they are the most important people in my life.

Goal: Call my parents and brothers at least once a week. Call my grandparents at least once a month.

9. Make more friends.

This past year, I realised that friends are so important. Because of my work, it was hard to find new friends, but I really need to make more efforts to build my friends circles.

10. Get out of the house more.

I work from home, so I must try to get out of the house more.

11. Be more adventurous.

Attend more events, try more new things, be more open minded.

12. Go to a concert.

13. Make a project life and document my year on paper.

14. Be more organised.

15. Make my house more tidy.

16. Count my blessings and be happy.

Whenever I feel insecure, try to give myself a compliment. I sometimes can be very competitive. She's better-looking than me? She's thinner than me? She's younger than me? She's more successful than me? Really? I tend to forget that I am just as beautiful, healthy, young and successful as the one to whom I compare.

Nobody is perfect. Always remind myself that. Tell yourself the reasons why you should be proud of yourself.
