DIY Customised Bunting / Banners for Engagemtn / Wedding / Birthday Parties

Buntings, or banners are such a good way to add the extra touch to your parties, whether it is for your birthday, engagement party or wedding. I was organising my engagement party a couple of weeks ago, after browsing online and some shops, I found that buntings / banners are not cheap at all, let alone customised ones! Therefore, I decided to make my own buntings. If you want to learn how, watch my video.

I hope you find this video useful. If you decide to make your own customised banners, please share with me. Thank you for watching. Please give this video a thumbs-up and subscribe to my channel. I'll see you soon. Bye.

What's My Wedding Cake Looks Like?

Last Friday, we met our cake supplier and had a cake tasting session. I have to say, it went pretty smoothly. I got her contact from my wedding planner / future sister-in-law who has been giving me so much useful information and saved me so much time. So big thumbs-up! The cake lady is a young mother who works from home doing her wedding cake business. At first, I was a bit sceptical as I wasn't sure if she's got enough experience. All my doubts disappeared after the first bite of her cake. It was AMAZING! We tried three types of cakes - vanilla cake, vanilla cake with jam, and chocolate cake. All are with butter cream.

I am not a massive cake person, as normally I find cakes too sweet to my taste. The sweetness of her cakes are just perfect. And the butter cream, just divine!

The pictures below are some of my favourites found on Pinterest. We have chosen the first one to be our wedding cake as we wanted to have a classy, elegant-looking cake with floral designs, preferably with a vintage touch. She is able to make the exact same design for us for only £150, which is almost half the price that you would have paid if ordering from a shop. Anyway, really looking forward to it. She was also so nice that she gave us almost a whole cake to take home.

What's On My Bridal Bouquet Wishlist?

As our wedding approaching, we have to finalist a florist and we have had a couple of meetings already. It seems that both florists are both quite expensive, with a basic package costs £700 onwards. Blimey!

Our colour scheme is pink, green with a dash of red. I've been Pinteresting like a lot lately and created my own profile. The photos below are some of my favourite designs. I love peonies, but they are so expensive! I would like to include a couple in my bouquet though, after all, it's a day that I will remember forever.

So which one is your favourite?

Murano Island - Where Glass Was Made

When in Venice, a vist to Murano island is a must. We were delighted to find that Hilton provides private water taxi to and from Murano for free. So, let's pop on! The journey took us about 25 minutes. The view was absolutely stunning! It was just me and my fiancé on the boat, and we were surrounded by the beautiful water. What an incredible experience!

When we reached the island, the glass factory owner gave us a tour. There was also a glass artist demonstrating to us how the glass was made. He kept turning and turning the burning hot glass and a few minutes passed, he made a horse out of it. It was like magic!

After the tour at the factory, we went to the glass museum where they have show rooms for the ancient glassware. I was so intrigued by the delicate glass and the amazing workmanship hundreds of years ago . We then found a cafe near the canal and had some lunch. I had the famous kettle fish spaghetti. It looks a bit disgusting but really tasty. We just sat there, bathing in the warm sunshine and looking at the canal. It was so peaceful.

A Gorgeous Coffee Afternoon At Cafe Florian, Venice

We sat down at a gorgeous cafe on San Marco square, without knowing that it was the famous Cafe Florian! We had a lovely nice pot of tea and a sandwich, whilst listening to the band playing and watching the people and the pigeons. Did I tell you the price for this little snack and a tea yet? It was 55 euros! Vastly expensive. Everybody was taking pictures, hoping to take away the memory of a gorgeous day in Venice. Words just become so pale when describing the beauty of this magical city. Our faces were smiling all the time, our hearts were so light and happy. The warm sunshine on my face. I still remember.

And I can't stop looking at my ring, the most beautiful thing I've ever seen.
