Getting into Christmasy Spirit

London is fabulous any time of year, but the things to do in London at Christmas make it even more special. London simply oozes Christmas. It lives, eats, and breathes Christmas. Everyone will find plenty of things to do in London at Christmas whether you want to shop or enjoy some traditional festive entertainments.

I'm planning to go to Winter Wonderland before Christmas. I didn't get to go last year but I'm really looking forward to it this year!

What To Do for a Cozy Night In

I strongly feel that every girl should have a Me-Day or a cozy night in that you get away from your typical daily grind and only do things that you enjoy.

At the top of my list is to have a pampering time. What I normally do is to run a hot bath with my favourite bath milk. I will turn off the light, light many candles and turn on some soothing music. It is like a mini-vacation from thinking of your problems while you are there. Remember to stay present and enjoy the moment instead of entertaining a mind full of racing thoughts.

Tonight I had a girly NAILS NIGHT at my friend's. We got our nails done and I got to try my new nails colour got from Birchbox.

I got my top from Charmeuse Couture.

I'm loving the colour.

My bedside table

I got these lovely glass candle holders from the market in Covent Garden. They are a bit pricy but really gorgeous when lit up and you can see the flowers inside the glass.

Unboxing / What I got - Birchbox UK December 2013

The twinkly lights are up, we're spending time with our nearest and dearest and our calendar is booked with festivities. It feels like a true winter wonderland!

This is the merriest time of year and we need to get glam to SPARKLE at all our soirees! Today I received my December Birchbox (UK), and here are what in the box.

Natural, organic, recyclable, biodegradable - Naobay's philosophy in producing both environmentally friendly and skincare friendly products runs deep through the company with not a stone unturned. The Milk Facial Cleanser is based on a formulation of olive oil, Shea butter and sweet almond oil. Great for sensitive skin, it provides lasting hydration and restores skin elasticity while removing all traces of make-up and daily impurities. 99% of the ingredients are of natural origin - they strongly believe in stating the exact percentage so customers are 100% informed.

High performance haircare brand Number 4 is defined by its signature Liquid Complexes which draws on water, a unique delivery system and botanical ingredients to impressive results. The Non Aerosol Hair Spray gives a flexible, strong hold, natural movement and boasts a humidity resistant formula with a shine rich finish. Plus, the packaging is earth-friendly. You can't say fairer than that!

Korres creates shower gels that truly deliver on both skin hydration and divine scents. Wheat proteins create a film layer that maintain the hydration of your skin, so even the driest of skins won’t dry out. Their sleek packaging looks gorgeous in the bathroom too!

The Nail Glitter pots are a brilliant way to adorn your fingers with a cool disco vibe. Use them to add some must-have sparkle to evening looks or to inject a little shimmer to more classic styles. Let your nails do the talking!

How To Use

Paint your nails with two coats of the coordinating nail polish. Dip your nails into the pot of Nail Glitter and press firmly onto the coloured nails. Allow 15-20 minutes for nails to dry. For more info on how to use, see our GIF tutorial here.

This is a long-lasting Lip and Cheek stain that adjusts to your own chemistry. In other words, it looks different on everyone. Olive butter, avocado butter and wild rose wax soothe and nourish the delicate lip membranes. All the ingredients in Just Kissed Lip and Cheek Stain have been chosen for their conditioning and moisturizing properties. The delicious pomegranate flavor also acts as an antioxidant.

How To Use

On the lips, the stain awakens color. Use it alone, or layer it over a pencil or under a lip gloss. Layer it over or under Lip Fixation. Use it on the apple of the cheeks. Put on a small dot and blend with brush or fingers. Better to apply on top of moisturizer or Liquid Minerals so it’s easier to blend. Brush mineral powders on top for a glow that seems to come from within.

Fears of wearing the wrong shade are banished forever with this custom colour lip and cheek stain. It adjusts to your skins chemistry to develop and unique and irresistible pink shade to suit you. What’s better is that the ingredients are all natural!

Christmas Gift Guide for the Little Ones

Now that we are in December, it’s time to start preparing for Christmas! I love shopping for my niece (who's turning 3) and nephew (who's 7 months old) and I enjoy being surrounded by so many cute little things in the store. Here I've put together a Christmas gift guide for the little ones.

One of my favourite stores is Next, because they have a huge selection of festive gifts that are perfect for the kids.

For girls, make sure to have a browse of their cute all-in-ones. I love this Red Spotty Fleece All-In-One (3-16yrs)

For boys, check out their graphic tees and jumpers (. This Santa's Little Helper Crew Neck is super adorable, isn't it?

Cooking Diary One - Chinese Style Spare Ribs

Today I am sharing with you a special recipe I learnt from my mother Chinese Style Spare Ribs.

Spare ribs
Soy source
Cooking wine
Shitake mushrooms (optional)
Spring onion

1. Firstly you will need two boxes of spare ribs. I got mine from Tesco for about £ 3.50 each. Wash them first.

2. Pour the boiled water to the pot, add the ribs.Boil it for 5 minutes then drain the water and empty the pot.

3. Place the pot to the cooker with high heat, add 5 tea spoons of oil (I used olive oil). Add 3 tea spoons of sugar (I used brown sugar here but it could be any sugar).

4. When the sugar has melted, add a couple slices of ginger and 2 cloves of chopped garlic. Add the spare ribs shortly and turn them around. The sugar can easily burn the ribs, so be careful. Add soy source - be generous as it is the key ingredient.

5. Add boiled water and leave it boil in high heet for 10 minutes before turning the heat down.

6. Slow cook for 50 minutes (place the lid on top when slow cooking). You can add some mushroom if you like. Just before it finishes, turn the heat up and cook for 5 minutes.

7. Add some more garlic and spring onion right before you turn off the heat.

8. And serve!

What I Received From November 2013 Birchbox UK

I was super excited when I received my November box. However, to be fair, I was not impressed with the content after I opened it at all.

Here are what I received.

ModelCo® Party Proof Lipstick

I was so gutted that the lipstick broke when I applied it the first time!
